Mala Shabu — Easy to Make at Home
- Mala Chili Paste, Tontawan Brand
- Meat of your choice
- Meatballs
- Egg Tofu
- Glass Noodles
- Eggs
- Mushrooms and assorted vegetables
How to Make Shabu:
1. Bring water to a boil, add the mala chili paste, and stir until dissolved.
2. Once boiling, add the meat and all the vegetables.
3. Bring back to a boil, stirring occasionally, until the meat is fully cooked throughout.
How to Make Mala Sauce: Dissolve the mala chili paste in shabu soup stock at a ratio of 2:1 (measured in tablespoons). One packet of mala chili paste contains 1kg, to be used with 7.5 liters of water. If you prefer a stronger flavor, add more to taste, as desired.
